I was very nervous about being intentional. This was a great experience for me because it forced me to be present to the moment and to slow down to the speed of life. As I go about my day I at times get unplugged from the will of God and my light grows dim. Getting this money was a divine intervention for me. It forced me to realize how frequently I allow myself to get unplugged throughout the day. Having the money for the Month of May was a blessing for me as well because it allowed me to stay connected to my power source.
One of the ladies that I blessed works with me.. She is very instrumental in the success of our leadership and sales team. She has gone through a lot in her faith walk. We attend church together and we have spent some time together while attending Flavor sisterhood influence meetings. During our time alone she has shared many of her life challenges. She has a son that suffers with a bipolar disorder which takes its toll on her and her family. In a recent situation, her son attempted suicide and her mother being an amazing woman of God took him in to her home for a short period of time.. I see these 2 ladies every Sunday at church and I am always so amazed at how graceful they are able to push through all of life’s challenges.
I chose to bless with the mother with the Ten for Him money, but I knew that it too would have an impact on her daughter as well. The mother’s husband passed away 6 years ago. The mother works cleaning houses and office buildings. This work presents challenges to her because she has some issues with her knees and has been in need of surgery for some time. This job does not offer her health benefits so she has not been able to afford the surgery. A 40 year old relative also lives with her. He is a disabled veteran that struggles with a shoulder injury and severe migraines and has other addictive and personality issues. This amazing woman also takes care of a relative who is in elementary school. I wanted to bless her with the $120.00 (somehow we ended up with extra!) to help keep her encouraged. I wanted to also use this opportunity to remind both of these ladies of God’s promise and to let them know that I was praying and thinking of them! The timing was perfect as it was around mother’s day and a total and complete surprise when I mentioned it to my coworker. I also gave me the opportunity to share the $10 for him story.
