I had prayed for God to open my eyes, ears and heart after two missed opportunities to give the money away. I knew when I heard my friend talk about the “soup guy” again that he was the one. My elderly, fun neighbor had told me of a man confined to a wheelchair in her assisted living center. This generous man makes soup for the residents of the facility and invites them to drop in and share soup with him! I enclosed the money in a card with a note that told the “soup guy” thank you for blessing my friend with his soup and may God continue to bless him and others. My friend was extremely grateful and wanted to be sure that all the people in my Ten for Him group were thanked. She gave the card with the money to him. I felt like God’s love was shown to my friend and the “soup guy”. I felt like it was a true and authentic love shown through us to them.
